BNP Now Accepting Black And Asian Members February 15, 2010

Here’s your surreal news of the day…  The BNP has voted to allow black and and Asian people to become party members – but only after they faced legal action by the Equality and Human Rights Commission if they didn’t.

The decision came after a meeting was held at a secret location in Essex.  Even more surreal, a journalist for The Times got kicked out of covering the meeting because Nick Griffin, the leader of the  BNP, said the paper at which he worked had lied about the party.

“Because he is from The Times, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch, and it lies and it lies and it lies about this party. So he was told ‘we’re sorry, you told one lie too many’, the Times, so we are not allowing anyone from the Times in – kindly leave,” said Griffin. “He refused to leave when he was asked so he had to be encouraged to leave.”

He also stated that he expected a “trickle, rather than a flood” of applications from black and Asian people, as long as “this country should remain fundamentally British.”

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

Ah but this is great news. I’m hoping that each ‘chapter’ of the BNP will attract several Rasta men, a couple of Sikh builders, and brothers from the local mosque who’ll then use the democratic processes embedded within the BNP to radically change the party’s policies. Think of it as BME Fifth Column.

BTW, may I have cake with my tea?
