Nooooo!

Repeats of the hit US comedy Friends will no longer be shown on Channel 4 and sister station E4 from autumn 2011.  The series has been a fixture on the broadcaster’s schedules since 2004.

Channel 4 said the move would free up funds for new shows and acquisitions.

“After 15 years, 10 hit series and 236 terrific episodes, it’s time to say goodbye to old Friends and welcome new ones,” said Channel 4’s Gill Hay.

BWT would liken it to saying goodbye to your LOVELY GRANDDAD who has been sat in the corner of your room every day from 6.30pm, with a nice cup of tea ready for when you get home from work.  What the hell are we going to watch now?  Zach Braff has already announced he’s leaving Scrubs, and we’ll be damned if we accept the Friends-Lite “How I Met Your Mother” into our hearts.

Does this mean we might actually have to go outside and get a life on weekday evenings now?
