When Lisa Connell was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour, it would have been easy for her to become depressed and give up.  Instead, she set herself the task of raising one million pounds for charity before she died.

The 30 year old, from north London, doesn’t know if she has days, weeks, or decades to live, but that didn’t stop her doing a 10K run and going on numerous ‘rent-a-dates’ to raise funds.  She has currently raised over £18,500.

Miss Connell says: “I have been making it my personal goal to create awareness of Brain Cancer.  I have been working very closely with many brain cancer charities in helping to raise both awareness and funds for the cause and I will continue to do so for as long as I shall live.”
