Lad’s website Esquire recently recruited almost 10,000 US women and quizzed them on everything from their politics, finances, and sex lives. Then they put it all together in a pretty chart!
Among the highlights are:
Over a third of women interviewed admitted to having some form of plastic surgery
42% of them have been to a strip club, and 45% of them pray (maybe 3% were just “passing through”?)
Only 57% practice safe sex.
When asked for the “best looking man in America”, Johnny Depp came out top with 29% of the vote.
… Barack Obama and Zac Efron were tied in last place.
Nearly a third of respondents stated it was okay for women to use their sexuality in the workplace.
And 5% of women, when asked for what type of gift they would most like to receive, requested an Xbox!
PLUS! When quizzed on who women would sleep with if they had/ever had lesbian tendencies, 31% voted for Zooey Deschanel.
Guess our ladies across the pond really like the kooky chicks, huh?

CCNMoney.com has just released the top 10 paying jobs for women in the United States.
The winners are:
1. Chief Executive
2. Pharmacist
3. Lawyer

7. Computer Programmer
8. Management Analyst
9. Computer Scientist
10. Occupational Therapist
…. But as the website reminds us, although these jobs may pay the big bucks, men in the same positions earn even more.

WOMEN. They hog the bathroom, own too many pairs of shoes, and keep the cushion industry churning along.
Now they’re responsible for earthquakes, too!
Tens of thousands of people have died in Iran earthquakes in the last decade.
Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi, a senior Iranian cleric, says promiscuous women should shoulder some of the blame.
“Many women who do not dress modestly lead young men astray and spread adultery in society which increases earthquakes,” he said.
Mr Sedighi was delivering a sermon on the need for a “general repentance” by Iranians.
“What can we do to avoid being buried under the rubble? There is no other solution but to take refuge in religion and to adapt our lives to Islam’s moral codes,” he said.
I wonder what his thoughts are on who caused Iceland’s volcano to erupt? Our bet’s on people who litter.
Primark Criticsed for ‘Premature Sexualisation’ of Children April 15, 2010

Primark has fallen into hot water again, and this time it’s not for allegations on child labour.
The clothing chain has recently withdrawn sale of its padded bikini tops aimed at girls as young as seven.
The £4 bikini sets came in candy pink with gold stars and black with white polka dots.
The Children’s Society criticised Primark for “premature sexualisation and unprincipled advertising”.
The retailer apologised to customers for “causing offence” and said it would donate profits to a children’s charity.
Primark, which is well-known for its heavily discounted brands, has 138 UK stores and 38 in Ireland.
It is the latest chain to face criticism over products considered too adult for youngsters.
Asda has been singled out for a push-up bra aimed at young girls, and Tesco withdrew a pole-dancing kit from its toys section.
Sad, but not surprising…
Women Really Can Be ‘Blinded By Jealousy’ April 15, 2010

A study by the University of Delaware in the United States has concluded that women can indeed become blinded by jealousy, after they fail to spot things when distracted by the possibility that their partner finds another woman attractive.
Psychologists sat 25 young couples down next to each other at adjacent computer screens, with the men asked to rate how attractive pictures of landscapes were to them.
The women meanwhile, were asked to spot photographs of landscapes – the “targets” – amid rapid streams of images, which also included the occasional gruesome or graphic picture.
However, halfway through the experiment the women were told that their men were now rating images of women for attractiveness.
Later the women were asked how uneasy that made them feel.
Steven Most and Jean-Philippe Laurenceau, professors of psychology at the University of Delaware in the US, found that those women who admitted to being most jealous were the ones who most failed to spot the landscape images.
They concluded that they suffered from a form of “emotion-induced blindness”.
Of course, the experiment only looked at whether women were ‘blinded by jealousy’. The researchers have yet to determine if men react in a similar fashion…
Yemen Child Bride ‘Bleeds to Death’ April 10, 2010

A 13-year-old Yemeni girl has died of internal bleeding three days after being married, rights groups say.
The report comes amid ongoing debate on setting a minimum age for brides in Yemen, where more than a quarter of girls are married before the age of 15.
A 2009 law setting the minimum age at 17 was repealed after some lawmakers said it was un-Islamic. A final decision is due this month.
There was no official confirmation of the death by Yemeni officials.
The girl, said to have been married to a man in his 20s, died in the west of the country last week, the Arab Sisters Forum (Saf) rights group said.
A medical report by the hospital where she was treated said she had suffered a tear to her genitals and severe bleeding after intercourse, the group said.

Believe it or not, occasionally BWT has needs. FILTHY needs (and we’re not talking about getting slack with the washing up for a few days.)
But despite 99.99999999% of the entire internet being taken up by porn, there is a surprising lack of erotic choice available to the female shopper.
We think there should be more 50’s style pin-ups to look at, with girls wearing “proper”, “decent” underwear and stockings.
We know all girls want to look at this stuff, because every Burlesque event we’ve attended (which is A HELLAVALOT) is frequented by 90% women. The 10% have been taken there by their girlfriends.
Thankfully, a recent shopping trip for a new girdle caused us to stumble across this – Peek! Magazine.
As the website itself says, Peek was:

A South Korean couple have gone on trial charged with allowing their baby daughter to starve to death while they played an online computer game.
Prosecutors said they fed the baby once a day and left her alone for hours while they visited internet cafes.
In a tragic twist, the couple were going to the cafes to interact with a VIRTUAL child – named Anima – in a role-playing game called Prius Online (pictured, above.)
The game enables players to interact with Anima and as they do so, help her to recover her lost memory and develop emotions.
Last month, a police officer told the Yonhap news agency the couple appeared to have “lost their will to live a normal life”.
Such a desperately sad story…
